In Nov 2012, I decided to start a RUU repository. I registered htcruu.com domain. At the time I saw no issues other than a backup to the files football was providing. When football quit providing RUUs, I posted links to my site around XDA. Around Jan 17th, 2013, I recieved a complaint from a HTC lawyer about the domain and the files I was providing. The domain was in trademark infringement and the roms were copyrighted material. I then took down the domain. Around the same time I deleted the website from my server and the htcruu.com resolved to my androidfiles.org domain by default. I recieved the request to transfer the htcruu.com to HTC which I have no issues with. Looking at it now I see it was a bad choice to pick for the domain name. Oh well. I was also told I was required to take down my custom roms also as they are copyrighted material. I am active duty Navy with a wife and kids and have pull or money to try and fight this. So I will be giving in to all the bullying from the lawyer and will be taking down all my custom sense roms. In this paste, I also included the email. I removed email addresses and business name. No other items were changed or removed. I am not trying to start a personal war against the lawyer himself.

In any event, even "release" ROMs pose similar issues, because they could be modified or changed in a way that could harm the device or its user, and that fault would be imputed to HTC. We really do need you to agree not to provide any HTC ROMs for download.
