Today was a somewhat more sane session of SR.
The trio visited their fixer - both about the job, and an encrypted computer they stole some days ago.
They haggled him into 60 thousand nuyen, which was a paltry sum for something containing undisclosed internal communications of an AAA corporation, but hey, nobody took social skills.
Then, they got information on a meet with a Johnson the next day at 0900 in Auburn. Finally, Williams, their fixer, played them something he recorded off the news.
It was an amateur recording of the team's killing four Lone Star officers in cold blood. And Matrixs' face was visible, since he was the only one who didn't put his hood on during said incident.
So now Matrixs has a 100 thousand nuyen bounty on his head.
The other two, being smarter, suggested Matrixs get a new ID and a new face. It was quite fortuitous that Williams had a special offer for just this kind of service - a paltry 20 thousand nuyen.
These people play with big sums of money.
While Matrixs is driven to a black clinic to get a rush plastic surgery (and due to a good Body test heals very quickly), the two go to lay low in a safehouse across the street from the place of the meet.
 EvilDarkLord: I'm not Tarinaky.
The two uncharacteristically manage to stay out of sight, watching their own stunt on trideo several times.
At 0700, Matrixs awakes with a new face, with the doc ready to kick him out of clinic, since Williams warned him what a psycho the ork is.
Now, we used the backstory tables from WFRP to roll up Matrix a new face.
Brown hair, purple eyes, no eyebrows.
 An inspired choice.
He manages to obtain an overpriced phone book from the doc, and is once again on the street. He looks up the address of a gun shop nearby, and goes in, intending to get himself a shotgun.
Problem is, he doesn't have a permit. The salesperson tells him that, and directs him to a local government office for that.
Matrixs ACTUALLY GOES THERE. And that's not all, he starts pushing people around, wanting to get through the queues faster.
He escorted out by two unamused guards.
Next, he phones CK, and asks where they are so he could join them. CK tells him, and also suggests he take the pick-up truck they left outside Williams' locale, since the license plates were caught on TV.
Fully knowing he has no ranks in driving any kind of vehicle, Matrixs proceeds to sine wave to Auburn. Just inside the place, he crashes into another car at an intersection.
He flees the crime scene, in a fit of sanity. Unfortunately, he botches up his Stealth test.
So he's got two foot cops on his tail, a human and an ork (who, unknownedly to him, has Titanium Bone Lacing). He tries to hide in an alley, and botches that too.
They find him, and tell him to freeze. Knowing full well he doesn't want to be arrested, he bumbles his way through combat.
The cops were straight 4s before racial mods with threat rating 2.
First, he tries to grab the human's gun and shoot him with it. He fails, but inflicts Light damage on the guy. Next, he gets clobbered for Moderate by the ork.
 Ow.
Has he gotten the point that damage is a sucky thing yet?
Oh, I forgot. He got a shotgun, eventually, from Williams. That was uninteresting.
EvilDarkLord: He has Pain Resistance 3.
Anyway. He draws the shotgun. He has no ranks in gunnery of any sort.
He gets beat up even more, while trying to aim like a retarded badger.
So, at 9 boxes stun filled, he flees.
Having 6 Athletics, and Quickness 6, he manages to escape them, but thinks they're still on his tail.
He phones CK again, and the sammy tells him, after rumination, to bring the cops over to where they are, so they can dispatch them.
So. Matrixs does 3 kilometers in 6min 36sec.
The cops meanwhile lose him, but he doesn't know that.
 !3000/396
 [EvilDarkLord] rolled 3000/396: 3000/396 = 7.575758.
Back at the safehouse, CK puts a chair in front of the door, and aims at it with his SMG.
EvilDarkLord: I think I arrived that he should be doing about 7meters per second.
Meanwhile, Rock goes into the apartment opposite, after knocking and inviting himself into an old man's house.
Matrixs arrives, finally. He phones before going for the door, which is a streak of genius - he has a new face.
Eventually, the two decide not to kill him.
Then they all go to the meet. There are two guys in suits in there, apparently from the Mafia or something. They give the team a job to investigate and ruthlessly deals with problems in an isolated building near the border with the NAN, as their agents vanished some time ago with no trace.
 The runners accept.
 Man you have crazy players
With their pick-up totalled, Matrixs and Rock must go by bus, while CK drives his motorbike.
Matrixs has an idea. Before the game, he came up with the notion that he should become a superhero in a spandex outfit.
Oh yes, by the way tell Tarinaky that I can more than likely now be at Shadowrun tomorrow
So he finds a discount clothing store, and gets an old Captain America costume. Which he puts on while on the bus.
 ...
This just gets stranger and stranger
 (No shield, though.)
Matrixs sounds like he makes the game amusing.
CK arrives first, and investigates. The building is the only one standing in a wide swath of demolished neighbourhood, since overgrown. He finds a dead man in a suit and with his credstick still on him - and a look of terror on his face. But no marks of injury. He looks around and finds a blood stain, and that two cars are parked outside the structure, but nobody seems to be around.
He makes a perception test to realize that he's not hearing animals - no birds, no nothing - which should be around, since this is a fairly vegetated area.
Rock and Matrixs arrive. Matrixs is instantly given the job of recon inside the place, and unfortunately, we run out of session time.
 EvilDarkLord: He does.
Unfortunately, he is a little retarded. He acts little better IRL.
Matrixs has a new face and ID, but he's got the police machine after him again, as it doesn't take a rocket scientist to connect a crazy ork busting up police cruisers with another ork laying waste on the road, and then resisting arrest by exhibiting the same amount of unarmed skill he did when he last was in trouble with the cops.
The other two complained that they never had fun fights like he does. I countered that he's just incompetent. Rock's player commented that next time, he's cutting his stats in half. XD
 Yes, I have crazy players.
 But I'm having fun.
Bounty on Matrixs and his pals as of next day: 150 thousand nuyen.
 I suspect this will grow.
When will you start sending out the bounty hunters?
 At 200k.
Normal citizens have already started paying attention to groups containing a human, and ork and a troll.
At 400k, if they live that long, Lone Star will hire shadowrunners against them.
Will the bounties remain in perpetuity?
For quadruple cop killers? Ho yez.
They're making their way up to the Most Wanted list.
Will their Johnson sell them out at some point?
No, wait. The other guy, the one who gets them to Johnson.
 Fixer?
 Yeah.
He might. I'm not decided on that.
He's a greedy little thing, but he doesn't outright screw his own people over. Still, that's a LOT of money...
Maybe when they hit 400k he can figure it's over for them anyway?
 Possibly.
Again, I'm not decided on where his line lies.
He really enjoyed rubbing their noses in sloppiness at getting filmed shooting cops. In Rock's and CK's case, their remaining honour was saved by the fact that they obscured their faces.
Williams is contemplating selling Matrixs some C-12 with only vague instructions on how to use it.
