11:49:32 Hey, quick question regarding ripping
11:49:44 regarding ripping...
11:49:45 ok
11:50:20 I have atleast 300+ albums not included in the what.cd collective
11:50:36 awesome
11:50:38 Is dBpoweramp a respectable tool.
11:50:38 good to hear
11:50:47 dbpoweramp for ripping?
11:51:07 Yeah- I'm after secure ripping into Flac and Lame -0
11:51:24 ok
11:51:35 the trend around here is to use this program called EAC
11:51:40 it stands for Exact Audio Copy
11:51:55 in short - I don't want to rip everything/release and make a mistake.
11:51:56 at this time, it's the best, most secure ripper out there
11:52:10 let's just say good thing you asked ;)
11:52:29 Ok.. EAC - I'll look for a guide
11:52:36 just 1 sec
11:52:40 i'm looking for the guide
11:53:21 http://www2.firehose.us:81/~jiggafellz/eac/index.html
11:53:32 yes that's the one
11:53:39 you generally want to rip to flaca
11:53:40 flac*
11:53:46 and then use dbpoweramp to convert to v0
11:53:50 or any other format requested
11:53:57 make sure you output a log/cue file
11:54:29 * mrshlee didn't think cue was required for split files.. but thats easy enough
11:54:32 Thanks..
11:54:36 if that's all, happy ripping :):) thanks for being a great member of what.cd
11:54:57 the cue is useful for when you upload flac
